Retro Bathroom Fixtures … Are They Trendy?

Last year, Kohler debuted their Heritage Colors collection, a line of retro-colored bathroom plumbing - a slate of greens and a fun peachy-pink. They’ve been used in a variety of bathroom design styles - from modern to traditional - but, are they trendy?

I think, yes, this is slightly trendy. And it’s certainly not a design purchase for everyone. But - even with “trendy” items, if its something that you love, and it speaks to you - do it. And if you don’t like it, do NOT. If you look at the peachy pink toilet and it makes you happy and you can see it in your space, then by all means go for it.

I do think that this is indicative of a larger design movement back to color and a retro / vintage look, rather than something that’s isolated to bathroom fixtures or bathroom design. We are seeing more colorful bathrooms, but thats because we are seeing more colorful home interiors in general.

Are you interested in using these fixtures in a bathroom renovation, but do you need professional help? We’d love to help with this project - or any other design project you may have! Please reach out in the comments, via email or head to our shop page for more info!
